Chad Lenig is a Drummer/Percussionist, Composer, educator and Recording Engineer living and working in the Albany area. Chad began his formal musical training around age eight but was not really serious until his teen years. It was during this period of time that he began to develop his drum set "chops" playing with numerous rock bands.

A graduate of the SUNY fredonia school of music Chad holds Bachelors degrees in Music Education and Music Composition. While at Fredonia he studied percussion with Dr. Kay Stonefelt and Composition with Dr. Donald Bohlen. During this period of time 1993-1997 he played with numerous performing groups both at the college and professionally.

From 1998-2001 Chad taught at HFM Boces. His Responsibilities included teaching General music, Instrumental music and special ed. Music in multiple school districts. In 2001 Chad went back to school full-time at the college of St. Rose in Albany. He earned his Masters Degree in Music Technology in 2002. While at St. Rose Chad Studied Drum Set with Matt Cremisio, Recording with Sister Maryann Nelson, and Composition with Dr. Bruce Rotor. 2002 also mark the beginning of Chad's second and current teaching position at the Fonda-Fultonville School District where he is the 7-12 band director.

Chad also performs as both a rock and jazz drumset player. He was the drummer for the moderately successful local rock band White August for eight years and is the drummer for Ascension Theory a progressive Rock recording project and Primitive Groove and Modern Rock group.

As an engineer and studio musician Chad has performed on and recorded over 50 different projects in the last five years.
