Pete Sweeney has been a full-time professional musician since 1983. He has studied with Dave Calarco and the great Joe Morello for 7 years. He has recorded and performed with many great musicians in the rock, blues, and jazz idioms. Some of his performance credits are:

Pete Has toured the US and Canada with Irish singing legend Tony Kenny, guitar virtuoso Matt Smith, and Dan Toler. He has performed on many recordings including:

  • Two Grammy nominated CDs with Jay Traynor
  • Movie sound track for the Mirimax motion picture "The Castle" with Adrian Cohen
  • Soundtrack for Sports Illustrated swimsuit Issue documentary 1993 Tanguaray song writing contest winners, Matt Smith Band 1991.

In addition to performing, Pete Sweeney is also an active educator teaching privately as well as at the prestigious National Guitar Workshop for the last 10 years. He has written four highly acclaimed instructional books for Alfred publishing and performed on his own instructional DVD. Titles include:
