Window was founded in 2013 as an improvisatory jazz group. Their sound occupies the middle ground between free improvisation and through-composed ensemble music. In addition to their quartet work, the band also experiments with other performance configurations. They've performed alongside solo acts, and expanded upon their own arrangements through the incorporation of guitars, percussion, multiple horns, and vocals. Since it's inception, Window has been performing across the lush Hudson Valley--the birthplace and background for the group's unique, pastoral soundtrack. |
