Tenorman/Anchorman/Professor, you can refer to Brian Madden as all or either.  Lately, he's gigged in Utica, Woodstock, and Rhinebeck, Delhi, and Oneonta; he's guest anchored on the INN news telecast; and he's teaching at SUNY Oneonta and at Hartwick colleges.  You may note the first reference is the one that means the most, for the tenor sax is the format wherein lies the tale of his renaissance dude.  Growing up in Utica, and ending up in Manhattan involved his musical meeting, mixing, mingling, and maneuvering with jazz greats, as a tenor wannabe who grew up listening to Sonny Rollins, John Coltrane, Gene Ammons, Sonny Stitt, Illinois Jacquet, Red Prysock, and scores of other master saxophonists.  The rest is his story of faking it on tenor for decades before becoming more dedicated.  His tenure in broadcasting for CNN, Fox, ABC, CBS, NBC, as a TV anchor/reporter/sportsguy has moved him into the classrooms of the above noted academic areas, and with the Neo Trio, he captures the spirit of the tenor players who have moved him.
