An accomplished musician, Dave has spent the past 40 years striving to perfect his craft. An alumnus of Berklee College of Music in Boston, Mass., he honed his chops performing with some of the most gifted musicians of the day including renown jazz vibist Dave Pike, guitarist Larry DeBari, (Blood Sweat and Tears) along with the cream of local musicians Christine Cordone, Larry Smith (Late Night Music Band), Kim Wroble (my good fishing buddy), Peter Brittain, Geoff Samuels, Wendy Neif, Gary Brennan, Bob Grimm, Mark Lubell, Alice Pantaleoni, Vinnie Martucci, Rob Leon (Dolphins, The Band), Rob Hunt, John Davey, Al Gallodoro, Tom Wetmore and so many others.

Dave’s jazz instincts were instilled at a young age. Encouraged by his father who was a huge jazz fanatic, Dave was exposed to the likes of Buddy Rich, Count Basie, Oscar Peterson and Dave Brubeck.

“My dad practically forced me to listen to jazz when it was the music of the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix and the Doors that I was really into. He opened my ears to the “other” side of music and in the process, helped me learn to appreciate all musical styles. His persistence and passion definitely paid off and I’m a better musician today because of his influence.”

Dave continues to perform as a freelance artist with various local ensembles as well as leading his own jazz, latin, fusion band collectively known as NRO (New Rhythm Order). The band performs a variety of complex and stimulating arrangements by the likes of Dave Weckl, Chick Corea, Sonny Rollins, Herbie Hancock and Miles Davis along with a few originals thrown into the mix.
