BEST BAND THAT JAMS
FUNK SQUAD:

"Not jam band mind you,but band that jams-in the most positive sense of that word. Funk Squad do just that and then some, but what they do has more to do with Funkadelic and Jimmy Smith and James Brown than it does with the Dave Matthews Band or Phish or the Grateful Dead. And that's a good thing, we hope we don't have to remind you." --"Best of issue"Metroland

April 2000 (First show):

"Funk Squad's long, dramatic opening set was truly auspicious, keeping both the audience and the band's players thoroughly engaged thoughout....What George Clinton's ever-more-rote P-Funk Allstar roadshows need 20 to accomplish, Funk Squad did with four. Awesome!" ---J. Eric Smith (Metroland)
