Piano classically trained form the age of 6, vocalist Shiri Zorn found her way into singing pretty much right from the beginning. Her vocal journey started in Israel, where she discovered her love and passion for folk and classical singing. By the age of 14 she joined the leading school for arts 'Thelma Yelin' and pursued, what would later be, her musical career. During her studies, she found herself drawn into the ‘Gershwin world’ and was captivated by the world's greatest jazz singers- Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan and Carmen McRae.
Determined more than ever to embrace music professionally, Shiri decided to take her musical education experience onto a different level. In 2001, she moved to London, England, and enrolled as a classical singer in one of the world’s most renowned music schools, 'The Guildhall School of Music & Drama'. It was then that Shiri finally realized what she was destined to do and where her voice was taking her. The transition to Jazz was almost inevitable. In 2007, Shiri moved to Seattle, Washington, and had the pleasure of performing with some the country's most talented and renowned musicians. In late 2010, Shiri relocated to Albany NY and developed close relationships with some of the local musicians. She now lives in Saratoga Springs and performs in various venues around the Capital Region.
