Steve Keller is a vocalist / jazz pianist living in the Averill Park area. Initially and primarily a vocalist, he is mostly self-taught at the piano and plays a variety of styles, including jazz, swing, stride piano, ragtime, bossa nova, soft rock and latin.
His specialty is the Great American Songbook, and is specifically influenced by Frank Sinatra and Mel Tormé on the vocal side, and Fats Waller and John Colianni at the piano.
He has performed at various venues in the Capital Region, including Wheatfields Bistro & Wine Bar, The Crooked Lake House, Sand Lake Center For The Arts, Paolo Lombardi’s, Saratoga National Golf Club and the Albany Marriott. At school, he sang with the Vassar College Jazz Ensemble and also spent 2 years in the school's barbershop group.
